frbird400 0 Posted November 20, 2010 Just upgraded my DVR hardware hoping to get some better performance. Intel DH55PJ board, Core i3 550 CPU, 4GB RAM, GV-650 card, and version 8.3.4 software. Initially installed clean Win 7 x64. Everything installs properly (drivers and main system) and video comes up initially but freezes, basically 1 frame per 10-20 seconds. I thought it had to do with using the built-in GPU of the Core i3 so I installed an Nvidia 8400GS. Same thing. Read up on the forums about disabling hyperthreading. Same thing. Did clean install of XP Pro x86. Same thing. Put the card back into the old DVR which consists on an Intel 915 chipset board, Celeron 2.4, 1GB RAM, XP Pro and it works great. Any ideas? I already submitted a request to Geo for the new 8.4 software. Thanks in advance.
