akrh125 0 Posted November 23, 2010 I have a MIR-3000 IR Illuminator and I don't know how to connect the wires to the adaptor. If someone could help me out that would be great! Also, where I am going to mount this Illuminator there is some light from a sensor light and a outdoor garage light. Will the Illuminator still turn on with this other light present? Thanks in advance! Here are some photos:
rory 0 Posted November 23, 2010 according to the label on the wire, red is + and orange is - so use the color code on the black and white adaptor, does it say + and - on it? Like many CNB products the 12VDC may be non polorized meaning you can connect it to either side, but check the manual first please so you dont blame me if it fries As for the other wires, I noticed on one of their IR bullets there were some wires that were not used, just for future use, in your photo one or two of them seem to be for going to something like one of their Day Night domes, either for the IR's photocell to trigger the camera to switch or vice versa, I know their 24VFs have that setting in their OSD. Note sure though as I dont have the manual here for this IR. As for the IR photocell, just dont let alot of light hit it directly.
