Merlin3100 0 Posted December 1, 2010 Hi Group. I'm very new to CCTV. I'm installing a 16 cameras system around my farm and at this time I have 8 cameras installer. The cameras I selected seem nice enough (1/3, 550tvl). And for the most part my live picture is good but it is not as nice as I think it could be. The one thing I would like to ask about is if you look close to the picture it looks as if the picture is moving or sparkling for lace of a better description. I was reading about the DNR on the net and they were giving a still pictures as examples of what it was. I thought it looked like what I was having. The cameras I'm using are as follows; KT&C Model: KPC-N500NH Technical Specification- Signal System: NTSC Image Sensor: 1/3" Sony Super HAD CCD II Scanning System: 2:1 Interlace Scanning Frequency (H) X (V) 15.734 KHz X 59.94 Hz 15.625 KHZ X 50 Hz Horizontal Resolution: 600 TV Lines Total Pixels 811(H) x 508(V) 795(H) x 596(V) Effective Pixels 768(H) x 494(V) 752(H) x 582(V) Synchronization: Internal Luminance S/N: More than 50dB (AGC Off) Min. Merlin3100 0 Posted January 5, 2011 can you post snapshots? download/file.php?id=1729 Check out the hash mark lines on the drives door at the bottom of the window, the body lines on the drivers door, as well as on the edge of the roof line of the building. Birdman Adam 0 Posted January 5, 2011 Looks like less-than-good DVR recording to me. I bet if you plugged the camera right into the composite input on a TV it would look so many times better.
D.V.S. 0 Posted January 5, 2011 Like I said before, this is typical of CIF recording. Please record in D1 at 7fps and you should see an improvement on your recorded video's. Or is that a live snapshot?

It looks much better at home on my monitor. I was just concerned about the hash mark lines by the truck window and on the roof line of the building.

Or is that a live snapshot? No that's a frame from the recording. But the hash lines I'm asking about happen on the live shot as well.

D.V.S. 0 Posted January 6, 2011 How much do you have to spend to get a DVR that can do D1@30fps on all 16 channels? A friend of mine has one from Ebay. Search for (16 CHANNEL ULTIMATE SERIES H.264 REALTIME SECURITY DVR). Nice unit for around $1700. But 7fps at D1 will be sufficient most of the time. Is your live view at home (not on outside network) showing the hash marks too?
