praveensg 0 Posted December 8, 2010 We have installed 5NOs of 2100HD 4MP Sanyo camera and connected connect the netgear FS116PoE , the cameras will work for some time then loose video signal. After some time the signal will come again. The problem comes on all 5 camera alretntively andsome time 2or 3 camera looses video signal at time. Is it coz of video singal clogging .what could be the reason can anyone advise me. We tried cahning hte poe siwcth with another model but still the problem is repeated. Can this fault be due to the data port to PC not in 1000mbps?
thewireguys 3 Posted December 8, 2010 What VMS software are you using? What is your bandwidth going into the server?
Soundy 1 Posted December 8, 2010 Port saturation is a good bet... there's also a good chance the switch itself can't handle the traffic. I'd suggest trying a Cisco SFE1000P switch - 8 10/100 PoE ports and two gigabit ports. Make sure your PC has a gigabit NIC as well.
hardwired 0 Posted December 8, 2010 Try updating the firmware, the original firmware has trouble even with keeping a single IE browser session open, with no other cameras connected. I have had much better luck with them after updating the firmware (they are a great camera, overall) Sanyo tech support can give you a login for their FTP site (CoreFTP seems to work well for a client, on their site)
