visca to pelco d/p

need to convert sony protocol visca to pelco d/p (dvr system is this pelco control format)? there is not a port on the back of dvr to plug in a rs-232 to rs-485 adapter, it has screw down pins. is there anyway to do this without changing the dvr out?
