epcom 0 Posted December 28, 2010 Hikvision just released the new 9600 NVR series and we had some time to test it. It has some features that I think makes it unique for the price, some of them are not specified at Hikvision site: - Supports up to 8 HDD(2Tb each) with easy mount(see pictures) - HDMI Full HD output(1080p) - Supports up to 8 NAS - Recording resolution: - 16 Channels - D1 @ Real time - 8 Channels - 720p @ Real time - 4 Channels - 1080p @ Real time - 8 Channels - 1080p @ No real time - Compatible with some Panasonic, Sony, AXIS, Bosch, SANYO IP Cameras - IP Camera list: http://epcomsecurity.com/ipcamera.pdf - We tested it successfully with this models: DS-2CD892NFE/W, DS-2CD862MFE, DS-2CD852MFE, DS2DF1-6187H, DS2DM1-615H, DS-2DF1-401H, DS2CD7153-E, DS-2CD7133-E, DS-6101HFIIP. We'd been testing the equipment for 2 weeks and its a very robust system. The simultaneous HDMI, VGA and BNC output makes it a very affordable HD video matrix with a very nice GUI. Installation with Hikvision IP cameras is just plug and play, you can modify the IP of the camera from the NVR GUI, it automatically detects it if its on the same network. Video output is exceptionally good, and you can see that Hikvision HD output is clearly superior than other China brands like Dahua. If you are looking for an affordable HD NVR solution, connect it to 2 big LCD screens and almost endless storage, this is some alternative you should consider.
