stealthrt 0 Posted January 6, 2011 Hey all i am new to all this sercurity cam stuff and i have 4 Exxis cameras that have a RJ11E end on them. I have a DVR card in my PC that only accepts BNC connectors. I was looking around seeing if i could find the pin out for the RJ11E connector but have been unsussessful. The only thing i can turn up is this: pin# 1 speaker (hot) 2 video out 3 ground 4 speaker (cold) 5 audio out/alarm out 6 12V DC Taking if the pin out above is correct then i would guess i would tie the ground and video to the bnc connector and then ground and 12v DC to the power supply? Can anyone confirm this? My Exxis camera looks like this: Mace seems to carry a converter for this type of thing but its $24.94/each!!! Thanks for any help on this problems of mine! rory 0 Posted January 6, 2011 Yes it would appear they share the same ground, most board cameras do, Ive done this before in the past. Ive even had to share the audio ground before also. But in this case it seems it has its own? Anyway, do this all at your own risk as I have not used this camera.

rory 0 Posted January 6, 2011 going by the image you posted, looking at it as it is. there are 3 x wires. top one is power. middle one is video. bottom one is audio Now if the thing has a jack you can maybe check the colors in the jack based on which way that connector would plug into it (if you had it). So at least you will know which is which, except the ground and positive for power unless it is red and black. Thats ofcourse if that Mace converter is made for that camera.
