jeromephone 6 Posted June 10, 2005 I have a customer who has a fixed camera and would like to convert to a ptz no problem with local power but it is a long underground coax run. Can anyone reccommend a control over coax solution. Have not quoted a specific camera yet and would like to control via geovision if possible Thanks
qman 0 Posted June 10, 2005 sorry, but you only can do it with PELCO Coaxitron, and you need a pelco DVR. To use a Geo, you need a translator, and it's going to cost you $$$
rory 0 Posted June 10, 2005 this "may" work, you could email them and ask ... its not that expensive. You can send alarm signals, so you may be able to send pTZ data. http://www.foresight-cctv.com/VDS2500.pdf
cctv_down_under 0 Posted June 12, 2005 You can do it with the bosch camera and control over bilinx
spyguy 0 Posted November 17, 2005 It looks like the VDS2700 would work great for this purpose. http://www.biwave.com/index.htm My only problem has been actually finding someone to sell them to me. Does anyone by chance know of a source for the VSD2700 in the US? Rory, do you know of anyone in the US that sells these devices?
