thewireguys 3 Posted January 9, 2011 I am looking for the best and easiest to use software for diagramming and documenting networks that is geared towards camera systems
Soundy 1 Posted January 9, 2011 I used one for a couple diagrams I posted here a little while back... can't recall the name of it offhand, but you'll find it somewhere among my posts, since someone asked me about it at the time.
thewireguys 3 Posted January 9, 2011 SmartDraw.... any other options? I normally do a spreadsheet but I would like to digram the networks too. Ideally I would like to store everything (ip address, ports, users, passwords. etc) with the Diagraming software so I don't have to input the information twice. Soundy 1 Posted January 9, 2011 Was that it? I'll take your word for it It would be handy to have something more CCTV-oriented with slots to store all that info... even just something that allows you to attach a "note" to the file. I know it's overkill, but Visio should be able to do all that for you, and there are lots of network-related templates for it.

Well since I am dreaming I should shot for the stars..... How about intergeneration with http://www.jvsg.com/, plus export system info as a excel doc and/or pdf.
