ckeeble 0 Posted January 12, 2011 I'm new at this and am trying to figure this out. I'm able to view the customer in Control Center, live. However, it's not displaying in Center V2. Nobody has changed the settings and we used to be able to monitor the customer in Center V2. - Where do I look for answers to this, or is there a resource or guide for troubleshooting? - Am I asking the right question? I'm lost and looking for a place to start so I can be self sufficient. Thanks
GeoVision_Tate 0 Posted July 6, 2011 Hi Ckeeble: I would suggest to first make sure DVR can connect to CV2 and set up another account in CV2 for any of the DVRs or IP devices to connect. For studying this product, please read user manual (you can find the file in your installation CD) or send an email to support@geovision.com.tw to ask for one. Adam Daley 0 Posted July 10, 2011 Make sure your port forwarding is setup right. Even though the DVR is talking TO the Center V2 station, Center V2 actually talks BACK to the DVR, and there is a port # you set in geovision... yeah it matters and yeah you have to throw it in your port forwarding table. I typically change all my geovision ports to one big range, so i can add one entry into my router, rather then 10 different entries. We had this issue with a client who had 25+ computers setup, each set to run Center V2 connecting to an individual DVR. We kept having issues getting Center V2 to read it, thats when we learned that we had to port forward the DVR's center v2 port... its under the network settings tab in geovision, look for Center v2 and add that to your router. It'll solve your issues.
Harrar 0 Posted July 12, 2011 For the individual DVR's you'll need ports 5545,5548 and 5549 forwarded. Also check and see if Connect to Center V2 is checked under Configure>General Settings>System Configure. Has the IP Address of the Center View computer changed? If so, you'll need to change the settings under Networks> CenterV2 on all the DVR's. At the Center V2 computer, ports 5547 and 5551 need to be forwarded. Silly question, but you're not running Control Center and CenterV2 on the same computer?
GeoVision_Tate 0 Posted July 14, 2011 Hi Ckeeble: several more places you may check: 1. ping the DVR/NVR from your CV2 2. check to see if port at your firewall and router are open at both your CV2 and NVR/DVR 3. check on the host status in CV2 and finally.. 4. is this a LAN or WAN environment (CV2, CC, and DVR are all in the same LAN?) 5. install CV2 in DVR (same pc), set up an account in CV2 and have the DVR connect to CV2 and see if you can still connect.
