dave54 0 Posted January 16, 2011 Hi every one. I apologise if I have placed this request in the wrong part of the forum. This Is my problem. Me and my partner have split up, and I've moved into another house. I took all my goods but did not have the time to remove my CCTV cameras. So my Ex did it for me. She just cut the cable and prized them off the places they had been mounted, look'y that they were mounted on wooden surfaces. Anyway, I have THREE: Silverline CAM3015H, 12vDC IR Cameras 1/3 Sony color CCD System: PAL CE ROHS 100mA Five Wire's in the cable: Grey Outer Cable. The Tinfoil Shielding. x1 Bare Silver Wire. x1 Blue Wire. x1 Red Wire. x1 Yellow Wire. x1 White Wire. I would like to use them again, but I don't know how to re-plug them. I've tried to acquire the old cables but with no look. I can't find documentation for wiring them up on the web I've tried. I do have appropriate power supply's that I can use. And I may have fubard one having a go. Any help is very welcome. Thank You. Dave.
Soundy 1 Posted January 16, 2011 It's impossible to say for sure which wire is which without testing the cameras, but at an educated guess, I'd say the yellow is video signal, and red is +12V. The bare wire would be a common ground for both. Normally I'd say any camera that uses and all-in-one cable like that is probably not worth more than $20 and you're probably better off just replacing them, but from what I can find on that model, they DO appear to be true-day/night models, which makes them worth a bit more (although I wouldn't pay the almost-100-pounds I found them listed for). Sawbones 0 Posted January 16, 2011 I'd go with Soundy's pinout. Yellow is often video by convention (look at the RCA jacks on the back of your TV), and red/black is common pairing for 12VDC, with the red as (+) and the black as (-). Your ex sounds like a piece of work.

dave54 0 Posted January 17, 2011 Hello. Thank you to all. Thank you Soundy, I'll give that a go on one. Thank you also to Sawbones. But there is no BLACK Wire !!. So I Took the one that may be FUBARD apart. Inside the Ball/Dome, there are TWO 1inch square Circuit boards, Board 1: Has the Camera Mounted on It, This Has A Connector on it which Receives the Red/White/and Blue Wires. Board 2: Has the Light Censer & IR Diodes on It, This also has a connector on it which Receives the Yellow and BLACK ( Thank-You To Sawbones). To Sawbones: Oh yes she was. Other Friends While I Was At Work, She Said She Was Lonely. But She Loved the Money Though. Was Working for R.R then. To Soundy: No Mate Worse, She Was BLOND. I've since the trouble with here ended up being cleaned out & also lost my R.R Job. I'm now, (What we call over the Pond), One of Maggies Millions. I've since Got a new Mrs & Four Lovely Kids. But earlier last year next door & one across the road moved out. We now have two more families in them, but they are TROUBLE. Next door has tried killing my dogs, They are what we call over here (Jippose) and the other lot have already smashed my front room window, there (Can't say on this Forum) Sound to much like Racialism. These Days. I could not get a good job after my above problem, so I am Skint, (Broke). This is why I'm hoping to reuse these cameras, so that I can Catch them In the Act, and have them prosecuted, and hopefully evicted. My House is a corner house so both lot can't do anything without being caught, If I can get these working. If you or anyone knows how to Re Wire/Plug/Scart/ these, Please can you describe as simply as possible what to do, Pictures would be great to if possible. I'm an engineer/Machinist, I've built PC's, Repaired our PS3 etc. But know nothing about these cameras, If I put 12 volt on the wrong wires there FUBARD. Just Think of me as a Dumb Limy. If any one knows Silverline's (CCTV Cameras) email address I'll try them as well. I can't find it on line I've Try'd. Thank You for your Help. Hope to speak soon. Dave.
