mike_va 0 Posted January 27, 2011 (edited) Shot through window, pics are screen shots off a mac using an Axis 2400. Only light is a pole light at the front of the houses. Crude comparisons but thought they might help someone. 1st is Samsung 130B (color only) vs. Bosch 0355 (B&W on right), both f1.4. mike_va 0 Posted January 27, 2011 (edited) Bosch 0355 vs. CNB VCM24VF. The CNB has a unique picture, perhaps the Monalisa is doing compression to achieve this, also perhaps why running into a 241S it always has at least 50% higher data rate (day or night) than other cameras tried. mike_va 0 Posted January 27, 2011 (edited) HCCM474M (Honeywell) vs. Bosch 0355. Honeywell was pretty grainy so did not even bother to straighten out the shot, nice pic during the day though and really small. Honeywell does not have an ICR I think but switches to B&W at night. Must not have turned off all the interior lights as I see a small reflection in the window. Edited January 27, 2011 by Guest
mike_va 0 Posted January 27, 2011 (edited) Bosch 0355 (bottom) vs. Nuvico (top, color). Started using better lenses f1.0 and swapped around in this example (one camera w/ f1.0 and one w/ f1.4). Edited January 27, 2011 by Guest

mike_va 0 Posted January 27, 2011 Hi Mike. Just curious, which one was Samsung and Which one was the Bosch. Oops I tried to do it x vs y, where x = left y = right. I'll go back and fix that. Bosch is B&W and on the right.

mike_va 0 Posted January 27, 2011 Here is a (somewhat blurry) pic of the Tamron lens on the left (the one in previous posts that gave me such a problem with day/night focus shift on the Axis P1344), and a Computar on the right that does not have this problem (both are 3-8mm). mike_va 0 Posted February 7, 2011 One thing Id like to test is a CNB Monalisa dome at F:1.4 vs. a Monalisa Box with a F:1.0 lens .. Appreciate all the help you provide on the forum, so I grabbed that camera out from under the deck today. Here is the best I can do (as I've sold the Monalisa dome). On the left 0355, on the right BBM24F. Two pics, one is with the DNR cranked up on the CNB.
mike_va 0 Posted February 7, 2011 And just for kicks, the same scene partly illuminated from a MIR1000 sitting on the back deck. Cameras are inside, set up in the side bay window. One other thing I'll mention about the BBM24F, it has a connector which is (partly) for external control of the D/N but says "option" in the manual. It does work however.
