Startingline13 0 Posted February 1, 2011 A client of mine has been using a Nuvico EV8000 for the past year ( http://www.nuvico.com/product_detail.htm?id=161 ), and up until yesterday it has been working fine. Yesterday however, I arrive to see that her screen which is normally cut into quarters, now has the top image cut into 4 pieces, the 3rd image split in half, and the 4th image is no longer there. Furthermore, I realized the clock on the bottom was no longer visible. Upon reset it booted up again and froze after 10 seconds of recording, a seen by the timer on the bottom of the screen. I tried this two more times, and recieved similar problems - it froze two keys into the menu screen, and again about 20 second after booting. From that point on it reset itself a few times. This leads me to believe that the recorder may be shot. Have you guys ever run into a similar situation before? I think my best bet at this point is just to purchase a new one.
