Panasonic WJ-HD316A Drive Replacement

Can anybody tell me if a Panasonic WJ-HD316A requires a specific or will any WD 250g drive work?

 

I replaced the factory drives after the hour warning came up and while the machine does recognize the size and storage capacity it doesn't seem to be recognizing the drives.

 

I found in another fourm talk about a surveillance drive but not much info.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
