Need to upgrade my current system!

this is my first post on this forum. lots of information here!

 

I have a retail shop and I ended up using a "professional service" for dvr and cameras installed.

 

I need to upgrade my system and I would like to go some other route besides going through him again, he just does not seem to be able to tell me about the latest and greatest.

 

I have 8 dome cameras right now, I think they are 540TVL.

 

I could probably use 2 more cameras....10 dome cameras in all.

 

The DVR that I have right now says "AVS TM8 Elite+"

 

I really can't find much information on it.

 

NEW SYSTEM:

I prefer that of the 2 new cameras be PTZ.

I would like to be able to view the LIVE feed on my iPAD, the current DVR can't do that.

 

When looking through the forums, I keep coming across Rory's posts and Dahua. Please tell me where I can buy this stuff, I understand that they have budget systems but I think its going to be more than enough for a small retail store.

Sorry got really busy with work and didn't get a chance to come back on here. I have decided I need to go with a whole system all together. Gonna do alot of reading and try to figure out how to put a system together from scratch.
