Gesualdo 0 Posted June 15, 2005 Since I am trying to secure a driveway with a streetlight about 40 feet on the opposite side of the building from where I'm pointing the camera and only part of the drive is in the light do I need an IR illuminator or not? Total overall distance from the light to the drive is 75-80 ft to the near edge. Can you recommend a camera either way. Day and night observation.

Gesualdo 0 Posted June 16, 2005 I'll take that as a definitive YES. Thanks for the suggestions on cameras also.
WirelessEye 0 Posted June 16, 2005 Thermal is nice too, (if you can afford it that is). We've been playing around with a "cheaper" Raytheon Pan-Tilt Thermal, and I must say, it's awesome (wish it could use a standard driver instead of I/O commands though).
