chris_franks 0 Posted February 20, 2011 Hi all Pretty new to this forum so hi to everyone, Im just after a bit of expertise on the following [mod edit: store link removed. Google "Swann ADW300" for specs] Im basically wondering if anyone has any experience in setting these up and are they reliable as in the wireless connection. I am wanting to set this up in an office for constant monitoring so any advice or other recommendations would be much appreciated. Also is the price good? Thanks in advance Chris
tomcctv 190 Posted February 20, 2011 for the cost. i would go for an ip camera. the swann will also need you to have a dvr (you need something to view it from)
keeps 0 Posted February 20, 2011 How far are you looking to transmit Chris? And what sort of obstructions will the signal need to break? Wireless is always variable and you never really know what you will get until you have the kit on site unfortunately..
Birdman Adam 0 Posted February 20, 2011 I wouldn't use this. -Cheap camera -2.4GHz transmission will interfere with WiFi, WiFi will need to have a channel change to avoid this. Don't believe the 'Zero Interference'. -Range will not be very good
rory 0 Posted February 20, 2011 Cheap 1/4" CMOS, will provide a terrible image. Digital Wireless?? What is it GSM??
