wtung83 0 Posted February 21, 2011 Hi everyone, Can someone give me advice on which wireless camera system I should get for a restaurant environment? I need a basic system with two wireless cameras and a small dvr unit with sd card recording capabilities. It needs to be able to overwrite the oldest files and record both video footages at the same time. Currently, I'm looking at SVAT GX301-013 but it can only record one at a time. My price range is around $300-$400. Any suggestion? Thanks
Soundy 1 Posted February 21, 2011 Not if you actually want usable video... not at that price, and certainly not wireless.
keeps 0 Posted February 22, 2011 If you are looking for a professional CCTV system for your restaurant I'd avoid wireless too, too many potential problems....
ssmith10pn 0 Posted February 28, 2011 Hmm 4 cameras in a restaurant? So I guess all you want to see is how many tables are occupied? Not interested in the cash register? What about raw materials being stolen out the back door? I would say 8 would be the absolute minimum.
bpzle 0 Posted February 28, 2011 I'd bet my paycheck that you don't need wireless. Don't waste you money on things like that svat thing... I've tested endless amounts of junk like that. It's all the same. I would recommend getting at least a quality 8 ch dvr (not from costo or ebay, or some online Chinese supply house). Buy one camera at a time and add more later to keep upfront costs down.
