Kingvision 0 Posted February 23, 2011 Hi Guys, I need help with playback a recording file with Panasonic DVR, that was MPEG4 Movie format, I am helping with my friend, he was a cop, this recording file was evidence. I don't know model number of this DVR, I have tried for every type player software can not playback of that. I think has some decorder just can playback. ComputerCommando 0 Posted February 25, 2011 Hello All Panasonic DVR's and NVR's require a specific player depending on the model number. If you are able to provide the file format (the extension) I would be able to point you to the type of player. Panasonic does use a proprietary codec with a water mark for legal submission to various agencies globally and you will not be able to play the file on any conventional media player unless the original source is transcoded into another format.
