CP Cam CPD 500W firmware update

Hi all,

does anyone have a firmware update for the CP Cam CPD 500W?

At the moment the DVR shows this message during the boot:

 

VER 1.3.0.15

VER 0.5W

 

I've two problems with this DVR:

 

- it doesn't overwrite th HDD when it's full

- it formats the HDD in ext2 mode, so I've to format the HDD in ext3 using a linux box, because each time the DVR boots up it says "fix filesystem" and then reboots and so on...

 

I think these problems are software related because the HDD works perfectly and it hasn't damaged sectors.

please find the following on page 6 of your user manual:

 

 

 

1. If the HDD is not installed correctly or not installed, the “NO HDD!”, “HDD KEY UNLOCK!”, “UNKNOWN FILE

SYSTEM! PLEASE FORMAT IT!” messages will appear for 3 seconds, and then return to 4 CH Multiplexer display

mode.

*** “UNKNOWN FILE SYSTEM!”: The format of HDD is not accepted by the DVR system. The system only accepts

EXT3 format. Users can format HDD by selecting “HDD FORMAT” on SYSTEM menu.
