Milestone software

I have a Mobotix camera that has an internal storage, I am going to be running the camera over a wireless internet modem and I will be charged by the Kb. I want to know if there is a way to just have the software stream whenever the camera catches motion insted of all day. Thank you!! Hope we can figure this out!

I don't think Milestone can do that because Milestone does all motion detection on the sever not on the camera. Your better off using the web interface on a lower res or MxControl Center.

Are you sure? I was working with Xprotect Essential just today, and configuring a couple of Mobotix cameras (D12s). It had an option to use on-camera motion detection.

Last time I checked it doesn't work.

It might not be working... I just checked the logs remotely and it's recording an awful lot of "motion" that the cameras themselves are not "detecting."

 

So much for that.
