Wireless IP Point to Multipoint

Somebody told me that it is not advisable to use Point to Multi-point Wireless IP Surveillance because it will cause signal degradation. The setup is 10 cameras connecting to a single wireless AP. these cameras are h.264 compression @ 4CIF, so im guessing it will be transmitting at most 1.5Mbps.

 

I believe that one WAP should be able to handle the bandwidth or should I consider Point to Point transmission?
