canndale 0 Posted March 4, 2011 I have problem with Geovision cameras. I use about 3 types of cameras and each has the same problem with NTP server and time. I have on my subnet one NTP server for synchronization. When I setup the IP of the NTP server in camera settings, and then I press Apply, it synchronizes. But then the scheduled synchronization never happend. Thats mean, when I synchronize every camera (by set NTP), after about two week, there is differences few minutes!! I have no idea, how to solve this problem.. any idea?

canndale 0 Posted March 8, 2011 I have local NTP server on LAN (I use one virtual FREEbsd mashine for this purpose), on this LAN are also cameras. So there is nothing what should block NTP protocol.. and when I restart the camera, it synchronized first time (so it communicate with NTP), so i think the problem will be in cameras
jsk 0 Posted March 11, 2011 Do you have the latest firmware on the cameras? Maybe a firmware upgrade will fix this issue. You can directly chat with a Geovision rep at {url}www.usavisionsys.com{url} and get an immediate reply & hopefully a solution.
