What is the general concensus on the new Everfocus DVR's?

I recently recommended an Everfocus ECOR264-9X1 to someone. The specs. are perfect for the price, and I had to have one with a manufacturer supplied client software for Mac OS.

Please tell me the quality has improved since the first gen DVR's ??

 

I'm hoping some has experience with this new line and can share their experience.
