ELEKPO 0 Posted March 11, 2011 Hi guys after reading and researching online I came up with these products for my home surveillance system: AVerDiGi EH5108H Sanyo HD3500 (for entrance and driveway) CNB VCM-24VF (for places with low light condition) CNB LDM-24VF (for places with no light) At first I wanted to buy basic surveillance system like Q-see from costco, but after reading I found out that system like that is waste of money So do you think that this is good starter package? There is lot's of great information for CNB VCM-24VF on this forum, but nothing for CNB LDM-24VF. Has anybody used CNB LDM-24VF? I don't want to buy separate IR illumination for totally dark places. Thanks for your help in advance

Thanks for your help in advance hi ELEKPO. thats not a bad little setup. but i would look at saving yourself a little money (about $200) by not using the sanyo hd3500 and look at the sanyo hd3300. same cameras except the 3500 had onboard recording via SD card. and with you using a hybrid you dont need that camera. Birdman Adam 0 Posted March 11, 2011 Would you be using the LDM-24VF outside? Eventually all kinds of bugs and other crap (spider webs ) will eventually get on the dome - attracted by the heat of the IR. May or may not be a problem where you live, but its annoying to have to keep cleaning your cams! I'd use a VCM-24VF and pair it with a separate IR illuminator. The other potential problem with IR LEDs inside the dome is that they can blur the camera's view if the rubber seal around the lens is not on just right. Plus, they may or may not be strong enough to illuminate the whole area your trying to view. The LDM-24VF's IR output would be better suited to light up a hallway or room, not a yard. ELEKPO 0 Posted March 13, 2011 Hey Adam, yes I was planning to use it outside where the light is limited. I just don't want additional things hanging on the eaves Cleaning is not big deal because I live in a ranch and I will have only 2 or 3 of the IR cameras in the backyard. Hopefully they will work better than the VCM-24VF because of the IR LED's
