pchanj 0 Posted March 17, 2011 Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me. I have 2 standalone DVR System. One is an AVTECH and the other one is a Digiguard which I believe is also an AV tech. What I want to do is connect them to the same router and access them through LAN. So far, only one of the unit has been recognised but the other one would not show up on the video software I installed. Hope someone can help me on how to set them up. Thanks for the reply. Leohuangdi 0 Posted March 17, 2011 Try to disconnect the one is working and try only with the other one. Check the IP number of the devices is different, and also check they are both working by connecting with coaxial cable to a monitor. there is also a possibility that one of the dvrs doesn't support the version of your software, need to check the version.....and get a newer one if needed
jemoza 0 Posted March 26, 2011 First.. sorry for my english... i use spanish. Yes.. you can put 2 DVR system in same network. You must setup different IP and Port for each DVR. Then forwarding Port corresponding each IP in the router for monitoring in Internet. Example: First DVR... IP: 192.168.1.10 Port 4080 Second DVR... IP: 192.168.1.11 Port 4090 for Access you must key 192.168.1.10:4080 or 192.168.1.11:4090 I hope this note help you.
SEANHAWG 1 Posted March 27, 2011 Hopefully, if they are both Avtech's, you will be able to access them both from the same CMS software.
