rongaudier 0 Posted March 25, 2011 Okay, perhaps I've learned just enough to be dangerous so I'm hoping some of the experts here can keep me out of trouble. I need a surveillance system for my home. I'm thinking initially two cameras outdoor. Low light performance is important, resolution is important, the cameras also need to withstand harsh Texas weather. The research I have done thus far has lead me to consider IP POE HD (megapixel) cameras. I am somwhat bewildered by all the choices available, and am also somewhat limited by what I'm willing to spend. I need advice in the following areas: Cameras, Prefer under $1000 each complete. Storage, I would like to be able to store at least 48 hours of full resolution video from 2 cameras. Software? Any advise is appreciated.
