Unknown PTZ Dome Camera - Need wiring diagram.

Recommended Posts

I have two connectors on the bottom of the camera.

the left one goes to a female barrel connector for power and a bnc female connector. The right one I do not have the original this was bought from ebay. I have an idea but am not sure. I want to control this from my computer with a rs232 to rs-485 adapter that has a D+/A, D-/B, GND, and +9v connector. What is the pinout on the camera?

I am thinking red is 12v+(or is this 9v+?) black is ground, then the yellow, orange, green, brown is the serial control? but what colors is what, and is is alright to split the other 12v for this side or is it separate because it is a different voltage?

Here is a pic of the controller everything goes to. Almost everything on this camera has a QS-something part number but doing research yields nothing.

figured it out on my own.. black is ground, I used a 12v dc controller nothing, 24vac worked. red up, yellow down, orange auto left right(when it hits one side keeps going opposite way) green circle one way, orange the other. I need a decoder, after looking on this forum. So technically this camera is a PT camera, no zoom? Can you get a decoder with no zoom?

Sure. Look up on Fleabay and search CCTV decoder. Mine cost $26 I think, from seller "SecurityCamera2000" They said it would ship from Hong Kong, but I got mine in less than 3 days because they actually shipped it from California. The decoder board works like a champ. The only thing that I didnt like was the decoder board makes a clicking sound whenever you move or do any action, no big whoop though. Whats cool is that it accepts 24 VAC and has 12V DC out power. I was really pleased with it for the price.
