eben 0 Posted March 30, 2011 I downloaded the CM3000 program and it's patch from the Avermedia site. I then installed the program and ran the patch. When I started the program, I went to setup and tried to add a camera. No matter how often I press the "add" button, nothing happens. I'm very new to this whole business and don't have a clue as to what I'm doing wrong. Please help. Thank you.

CM3000 is very good and works well for remote recording and loging into 16 dvrs at a time. but your dvr is AVTECH

The first thing that I've noticed is that the supplied software is far from brilliant, so it's pretty obvious I need something better. I'd like to build myself a "server" that can communicate with the camera and can record any incidents / motion triggers. I'd then like to have some sort of remote software that I can run on my pc some distance away to see the live feed and play back the recordings. I've looked at NUUO and Koukaam, but neither supports AVTECH. I've also looked at a rather smart program from China that's just called NVR_Client, but it also doesn't support AVTECH. H264 Webcam ver 3.8 supports the camera, but the software is still very basic and doesn't meet with my requirements. Now it's the turn of CM3000.
tomcctv 190 Posted March 30, 2011 CMS3000 is a central monitoring software. which is no good for you. the one you have down loaded is avermedia. you need the free download from avtech (only though support) or something like this that supports avtech. http://www.avermedia.com/AVerDiGi/Product/Detail.aspx?Id=
