Just like in topic. Maybe someone have something like this? I was trying to google it, but I haven't found anything

I have lots of .avi files from cameras mounted above roads - great stuff to show how car counting, or licence plate recognition system in GeoVision works.

 

I was trying to use VLC to stream avi, but I failed

If VLC can play a file, it should be able to re-stream it...
