adessmith 0 Posted April 6, 2011 Hi, I'm new to these forums, and I'm looking for a piece of software to help me record an RF modulated CCTV stream. What I currently have, is a CCTV system where 3 cameras are fed into a quad RF modulator, and "injected" into 3 channels on my cable line (one input on the modulator is not used). You could tune to any of 3 stations to view these cameras on any TV in the house. There was no recording, it was just live surveillance. When I upgraded to digital cable I had to remove this system, because it wasnt compatible with the DTV signal but I am thinking about setting it up as a totally seperate system independant of the CATV system. I would like to run the Coax from this modulator into a TV tuner on a PC, and record the 3 streams. I have a spare PC I could use for this task, and I have an old haupaugee TV tuner. I believe its only a single tuner, so I would only have the ability to record one camera at a time, which is fine with me. Can anyone recommend a good CCTV DVR software package which will allow me to record off of a TV tuner? Preferably something open source (free!) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
