gtxkid 0 Posted April 9, 2011 I have been given the job to fix a cluster ****. at a correction's facility. One old building and one new building. Camera's have not been done by CCTV people too much. I have a lot of Wrong (1 camera's (2 lens's (3Location's I have been working on a map. Fixing what i can. Will lood later on moving some around where they will work better. Used a lot of camera's that have a 4-9mm when i need 2.8. Used bullet cams inside when i need them outside. It is a mess. After a few days i am still trying to find out what to do. Tailbone215 0 Posted April 9, 2011 Sounds like you are on the right track by assessing the situation and laying out a workable strategy. I would take inventory of what camera/lenses are salvageable and possibly could be reused in different locations. You might be better off just trashing the cams and starting over, depending on the quality of what you got. Your biggest headache will be cabling and conduit runs as most are inside poured concrete when the correctional facility was built. Are the present ones usable with good cabling and are they in key locations to maximise the customer's needs? You need to sit down with the customer and find out what they really hate about the current configuration and build from there. Don't rush these types of jobs.
