joohansson 0 Posted April 10, 2011 I found a broken camera in a garbage bin but at a closer look it seems that only the front glass was broken and everything inside is fine. It is a Monacor 190 COL: http://www.monacor.de/en/product-detail-page/?artikelid=6997 This camera has one single cable for both power and video. I'm looking for a power supply for this camera, or if it's possible to build it myself? It can't be that complicated or what do you think?
tomcctv 190 Posted April 10, 2011 It can't be that complicated or what do you think? camera from a garbage bin. no power supply. for the money time and effort only to find out why the camera was in the garbage. it has a coaxual power box not a good thing to try and make. (you could buy a new camera for the costs you are going to have)
joohansson 0 Posted April 10, 2011 That camera costs $300. I have friends with good electronical skills. With some basic knowledge of what voltage the camera runs on it should not be impossible to fetch the video signal. I will not buy a new camera, i don't even need it, it's just fun to see what I can do with it.

I am 99% sure that this camera was trashed because of a broken front glass which means that it's not waterproof any more. But the construction is very robust and no water damage what I can tell. I don't scrap a car because of a broken window?
