shaywood 0 Posted April 14, 2011 I noticed there is a firmware update for my Q-See QC444 DVR. The instructions say that my custom setting will be erased and have to be re-entered. Does anyone know since I have downloaded a backup copy of my config settings - would I simply be able to restore my settings after the firmware update? I would really not enjoy re-entering all the custom settings already in the DVR. http://www.q-see.com/products/security-product.php?ProductId=283 Shawn
rory 0 Posted April 14, 2011 Make sure you dont already have that firmware installed. Dahua was sending DVRs with 2.606.xxxx from last year. Also typically it makes no real changes to the data, normally if anything might have to reset the time. But yes export the data incase you are worried. I cant say if importing it will or wont work with the updated firmware, depends on how old the existing firmware is.
shaywood 0 Posted April 14, 2011 Thanks, my current Bios is v. 2.606.QS00.0 - 20100622 the latest on Q-See's site is 2.606 - 20110301 . Do you think this is the same version even though the dates are different?
