ayalas 0 Posted April 18, 2011 Hello my question is as posted. Whats the best way to for better recording quality. From the cams fix\ptz to the dvrs first then to the matrix or from the cams to the matrix then to a code distribution unit then to the dvrs?
survtech 0 Posted April 18, 2011 Either would give the same video quality if you are looping through one device to the other. The question is: which is easiest for you? One thing to keep in mind when looping: only the last device in the chain should be terminated.

WTFool 0 Posted March 12, 2012 sorry for replying a year later here. Distribution amp. We run analog cameras into digital recording as well as an analog matrix switch. each video line comes in over the mini coax into a DA that amplifies the signal for splits. 1 input 3 equal outputs. one of the outputs goes into the switch, the other goes to the encoders>DVR. We do this for 1 to 1 real time video on gaming shots and PTZ control.
