blackngold4877 0 Posted April 19, 2011 One of our clients purchased an H.264 DVR and I'm in the process of troubleshooting the external access. Currently, they can access the video on the cameras internally through the app given to them by the vendor. They set the ports to 81 and 2000, 81 for web and 2000 for internal. When I go to the web and type in the external ip:81 I get a web based version of the software and a login, so I know the port forwarding is working, however when I login I just get white screens with no video. However, if I type "externalIP:81/mobile" I get the cameras in the web browser. Anyone ever come across this before? The vendors don't have much experience troubleshooting cisco and my config looks correct to me. I can post the config if need be. Thanks.
danger_e 0 Posted April 19, 2011 On some models Cisco reserves port 2000 for their own services, this could be what's causing the image to not come through. Try switching to port 2001 or something and see what happens.
