Mobile DVRs - Servision or Geovision???

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've been using Servision mobile dvrs (IVG series) for awhile now but am looking to upgrade to a mobile dvr that has D1 resolution. I'm considering Servision's MVG or Geovision's mobile DVR. The two seem to be about the same price. I'm leaning towards Servision since I'm very familiar with their client software but wanted to check with others who may have experience with these brands. Any feedback would be most appreciated.

Re: Geovision, how easy is their software to navigate? Is it easy to download video? Can you download to .wmv?

Thanks!

Thanks. Does it also communicate with broadband cards...I didn't see this in the description? I was looking at the Geovision and Servision models since I need mobile dvrs that are remote viewable/controllable in "real-time". Also need 12V and RS485...

SerVision's MVG series is definitely superb to GeoVision's when talking live video streaming over 3G dongles. SerVision has extensive support to most cards in the market and have recently added fleet-management tools that can help you make the most out of your mobile DVR (GPS, G-Force, GeoFencing, bi-directional audio, etc.).

Also, keep in mind that SerVision's proprietary video protocol has been adjusted especially for live video transmission over low-bandwidth networks (such as GSM/CDMA) and will provide the best picture quality in that platform.
