dvr internet connection problem,please hlp me [-o<

please all cctv fourm member help me!

now i got problem is dvr connect the dvr,use static mode.

 

dvr model :china brand h.264 4ch dvr, modem: main/DLINK 2640b adsl modem, sub/DLINK DIR-615 wireless router.

 

now dvr is connect with DIR-615,so,now i need setting dvr port forwading and vitral server in DLINK-2640B, of DIR-615???

 

what i need setting in router??

you have to use port forwarding to tell the router what to do with an outside connection to the dvr, port forward any dvr traffic to the media port for the DVR so when you access it remotely the traffic will be directed to the media port by the router. For this you will require your external IP address which you then tell your router to forward from that address on port 80 to the dvr's ip address on its media port.
