txcoastal1 0 Posted May 14, 2011 Hello new to the forum I have a customer that is building 2 new sites this year and has 27 existing sites. We will be migrating them to IP CCTV solution. We have been through many dog and pony shows over the last several months and have most likely chosen Avigilon. I was recently approched by Nuuo, the claim they can do the job as well as Avigilon. The sites have 75 to 200 cameras per site. We have designed the system around Avigilons new H.264 line using 1 and 2 mp cams in door and out connecting to local and remote switches connected by fiber. Looking for pro and cons of the 2 systems mentiponed above Thanks cheers
thewireguys 3 Posted May 14, 2011 Avigilon is the ONLY VMS designed for HD/megapixel cameras from the ground up. NUUO can't come close to what Avigilon can do. Are you Avgilon partners or just testing stuff out? Ask NUUO how many h.264 cameras can they view at one time on the client software? Live and Recorded. Thanks for reply....Yes I am a new partner and quite impressed with the product and support we have been given so far. We are going to install a 30 day trial version using 3-2mp and 1-1mp plus an encoder to give us a total of 8 cameras to show most of the aspects of the clients needs including the hybid solution for existing locations just needing retrofit. We also use the integrated POS and several audio channels through the site...if demo goes as well as I expect we be signed soon after or during.
thewireguys 3 Posted May 14, 2011 I just did the same thing for a new customer that I am trying to win. I setup an onsite demo with 1 encoder, 1 1080P and 1 5MP.
