Palomino 0 Posted May 14, 2011 Hello, Question regarding wireless cameras. Is there a good wireless camera model less then say $250 that can be installed outdoors under an eave and also has a BNC output on the receiver end so that it can be hooked into a regular dvr with bnc inputs. Hopefully the camera would have fairly good resolution like a decent wired CCTV analog camera would have. Thanks, Mike
thewireguys 3 Posted May 14, 2011 Do you have power at this camera location?
Palomino 0 Posted May 14, 2011 Yes, power at the camera location is not an issue. Actually there would be two cameras at the location aiming opposite directions.

AGGIE6680 0 Posted June 1, 2011 Wireless security cameras are closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras that transmit a video and audio signal to a wireless receiver through a radio band. Many wireless security cameras require at least one cable or wire for power; "wireless" refers to the transmission of video/audio. However, some wireless security cameras are battery-powered, making the cameras truly wireless from top to bottom. Types of Wireless Security Cameras : Analog wireless Analog wireless is the transmission of audio and video signals using radio frequencies. Typically, analog wireless has a transmission range of around 300 feet (91 meters) in open space; walls, doors, and furniture will reduce this range. Digital wireless cameras Digital wireless is the transmission of audio and video analog signals encoded as digital packets over high-bandwidth radio frequencies.
