marcolisi 0 Posted May 15, 2011 Hello guys, I am trying to build : a full HD Video recorder system (for recording a scientific experiment, through a pinhole hole, that is going to happen in a confined environment) that: 1) is as I said, Full HD 30p or 60p 2) compatible with C or CS mount pinhole lenses 3) has a firewire or HDMI video output 4) can reach 0.xx lux (it does NOT matter if it switches to B&W to reach this low lux) 5) Record videos in Color 6) The idea is to buy a firewire or hdmi portable video recorder and connect this camera to it to record videos in 1080p or 1080i (at 25 Mbps) 7) the more compact, the better, but this is NOT a priority. NTSC 10) example of pinhole lenses are these : [edit by mod-store link removed] but any pinhole lens compatible with the camera you suggest is fine. but any pinhole lens compatible with the camera you suggest is fine. Soundy 1 Posted May 15, 2011 Hmmm, a few thoughts... I'm not aware of any CCTV systems that will do beyond 30fps, whether you're talking IP or SDI. NO system will do 0 lux without some kind of illumination or light amplification (eg. "night vision goggles"). All the lenses on that page are F/2 at best, which sharply reduces the amount of light you get through (typical CCTV lenses are f/1.4-f/1.6, which gives around 50% more light than that; f/1 would allow twice as much light). NTSC video standard does not support HD.
marcolisi 0 Posted May 16, 2011 What about cameras like these ? http://www.rmassa.com/manu/sony.htm I am talking about scientific/industrial cameras that are firewire.... Thank you
