New Axis super low light camera

Recommended Posts

It's a D1 camera, which makes sense given the current state-of-the-art in megapixel sensors just beginning to get into acceptable low-light specs.

Considering some of the development done by companies like Noble Peak that never really came to bear in terms of an actual product, this isn't a totally unbelievable announcement. Will be interesting to see what it is using for a sensor, and sensor size.

So in the first video (gain step by step), is the view at the beginning what I would see if I stand there?

How does it accomplish this? With the 'gain' up to a basically daytime picture, is there no motion blur, etc?

Interesting indeed.

I had to laugh at first as we all know how manufacturers like to hype their products as being this and that, but going by that first video (2nd one, not too sure what was up there) it does look impressive. D1 I imagine right?

I tell you what... I would put the SONY CH-140 against the Axis camera any day of the week...

In fact Axis use Sony chipsets in the axis cameras but don't have the pin configurations for the low light and WDR of the sony camera

The Best I have seen in Low light and also WDR.

I also consider CH140 as one of strongest products , we are now challenging M12DualSec for license plate capturing project , day time performance was great with "factory default" settings for the place we located the camera, it was not a highway but some central street with cars passing with pretty high speed. I'm waiting for night time results...
