cctvguardtech 0 Posted May 20, 2011 Hi, I have been having difficulties on retrieving the overwritten video files from the hard disk. I have tried using ‘GetDataback’ software to recover the data but no luck. I have also tried with ‘Glary Utility’ software but the software did not find my file that was overwritten. I was wondering if there is any software or way to recover it back. Thanks.
Soundy 1 Posted May 20, 2011 Depends how many times it's been overwritten... more than a couple times, your chances of getting enough pieces back to reconstruct video intact are pretty slim. A data recovery service may be able to do it, but that won't be cheap.
boblobsta 0 Posted May 23, 2011 Open a command prompt and "undelete".. no no no - im kidding, unfortunately your chances are quite slim cctvguardtech. GetDataBack is one of the best/easiest end user recovery tools (imho), but the methods used are almost useless when you have a complete drive filled with video - which is being constantly overwritten. If this footage is serious, head to a drive recovery lab immediately ($$$). Stuffing around with windows tools for recovery can only hamper professional efforts. -Bob W
