threegig 0 Posted March 9, 2004 Hey Guys I am wanting to set up some cameras for my house. What would be the best 4 PORT DVR card for under $300. I will be using 1xDome 2xBullet and 1x Bullet Infra RED. I would also like to be able to have motion detected recording. Thankyou
AVCONSULTING 0 Posted March 9, 2004 This seems to be one of the best deals I've seen for a GeoVision which is a good quality DVR card. Here is a link for you. http://www.turbocctv.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TC&Product_Code=VCC-GV250-
threegig 0 Posted March 10, 2004 Thankyou AV, I have found this one can anyone please tell me what they think of this. http://www.ozspy.com.au/cart/products.asp?ID=305 Thankyou Very Much
Napoleonbc 0 Posted March 10, 2004 I think it is horrible. I've seen boards that are cheaper that have a better refresh rate. 25 FPS for 4 cams isn't great. It might work for someplace you don't need fluid motion or even semi choppy motion...that board will put out really choppy motion. Plus it is expensive. 199 for 4 channel isn't great. Try http://www.surveillance-video.com/hispdiviresy.html If your in the NJ/NY area, give me a ring, we do professional installs. http://www.ddtinfrastructure.net
threegig 0 Posted March 12, 2004 Thanks Napoleonbc this sounds like a great one but I live in Australia I had a read on the camera and it seems to only run in NTSC mode and I will need PAL. This card sounds great 60FPS is the fastest I have seen for a 4 port camera. Do you know of any good cards in Australia that do what this one can?
