ferrisahmad 0 Posted June 1, 2011 i bought a vga to composite converter but that didn’t work so well...the quality was very poor...im guessing the image is in very high resolution and the dvr only takes a certain resolution...what im trying to do is, when i access my cameras from a remote location i would also like to view the pc monitor and or record the images on the pc threw the dvr Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Soundy 1 Posted June 12, 2011 Your DVR is probably limited to CIF resolution (352x240), while your PC monitor is likely 1280x1024 or higher... so yeah, big difference in resolution. Try using a remote-access solution on your PC - if it's Windows, you can set up a remote-desktop connection through Windows Live, or use a program like VNC or Remote Administrator... or even easier, use something like TeamViewer or GoToMyPC (I use TeamViewer, personally; works great).
