slrpro02 0 Posted July 9, 2005 Hi I want to be able to record at my remote site at least a few days, I`am curently using CamStudio I would like to know if there is a better program out for my needs. My video is only about 5fps. at the remote view. I would also like to control my remote PC from my laptop from anywhere I might be. So I can tell it when to record and when not to. rory 0 Posted July 9, 2005 i use realvnc.com . its simple to use and gives you total control. Cam Studio??? That is a screen capture program mostly designed for software demos to AVI and convert to shockwave... how are you using this program for CCTV??? Cam Studio is going to record huge AVI files. You want a DVR card with central station software, such as Geovision, hate to say it, but they record motion detection remotely and this is not common among DVRs.
