Enhance Analog Video Signal without use of any equipment

Recommended Posts

Respected all,

When connections are made on the Coaxial cable for cameras, DVRs and especially Splitters, the video signal drops and the quality does not remain the same. Is there any way to enhance the analog video signal at these connections by applying some resistors/transistors/diods etc? Any information in this regard shall be highly valuable especially in our market.

Thanks all.

Not sure exactly what you're asking... as long as camera and MUX/DVR are working properly, and the cable and terminations are in good condition, there should be no appreciable signal loss. When you add a passive splitter (like a T-splitter), then yes, you will get some loss, because you're cutting the signal to each side in half. And no, you can't compensate for this with simple passive components - to get around the problem, you need an active video splitter that can boost the signal back up properly.

Just use the bnc loop out connections from DVR
