SambaNoodles 0 Posted June 20, 2011 Hi. I am using a 16-ch (analog) +2 IP cam Geovision system with 1TB of storage space. I am running v8.4 For some strange reason, after runnning flawlessly for a few days, the monitoring (recording) of all cameras stops by itself. In the system log, they refer to this event as "Monitor Stop". I have no idea why that happens. And, unless I manually start monitoring again, (or restart GeoVisioin), then no recording happens. Anyone know why that might be? Might it have something to do with the recycle threshold limit I have (default value was set at 1450MB for me)? Any help will be greatly appreciated. GeoVision_Tate 0 Posted July 5, 2011 Hi SambaNoodles, Basically, the multicam program will only stop recording after you manually stop monitoring or via the scheduled time is up There are two things you can do in NVR/DVR to automatically start recording when 1. restarting the multicam program and 2. system idle is over a certain seconds 1. restarting the multicam program > stop recording and click on F9 > under startup, tick the start monitor box 2. system idle is over a certain seconds > stop recording and click on config button > system idle protection setting >check auto monitoring, tick monitor all box and fill in the idle duration you want the system to automatically activate recording (system idle over:)
