3RDIGLBL 0 Posted June 21, 2011 Just an FYI for the northern folks. The new ACTi KCM domes do not feature a built in heater. Be aware that they are speced to -4F and not -22F like the ACM and TCM 7411's. I just realized this today and asked ACTi about it. Currently there is nothing seen in terms of a KCM with a heater. My understanding is these cameras generate more heat than the ACM and TCM ones do so I assume they operate nicely in -30 to -40F temps but there is no real life data on this yet. Anyone have a freezer that goes this low who can test it?
hardwired 0 Posted June 22, 2011 Hmmm, no, but I ordered one recently to bake (yesterday here 104F, today's forecast ~107F) If they create more internal heat than the ACM/TCM series, they might have problems here.....
