question about pcsurveillance.net cards

Recommended Posts

hello all

my company has been buying cards from pcsurveillance.net for years now, recently, the last 4 dvr systems i have built using cards from them, the systems have TERRIBLE reliability.

here is the cards that seem to be defective 4 times in a row:

[edit by mod=store link removed]

I have spent hours on the phone with them trying to get support and they blame the issues, which is the computers crashing/blue screening, on the fact that I don't have a mother board made by Intel.

we have been using the MSI here

as you can see it has an Intel chipset both north and south bridge, North Bridge Intel G41 South Bridge Intel ICH7

they want me to get a Intel DG41WV board but i compared them side by side and the only difference is the PCB board manufacturer.

anyone have any info on the quality of this card?

you may be best editing your first post. as the card you posted has nothing to do with geo anyway. its there own PCI card.

what problems are you having with the card ??

Its ridiculous for anyone to say you need an Intel made motherboard, that is just not true.

Ive used the cheapest mATX MSI or Asus or Gigabyte or even Foxconn (with Geovision and others) and never had any stability issues.

The newegg one was done by mistake you can put that back in if you like.

No CCTV store links allowed though im afraid. I dont make the rules.

Even with 11,000 posts here Im also not allowed to post store links.

Bottom line is if the advertisers walk so does the forum.

What we suggest, as is the only way we can help anyway, is to post the actual make of the product, not a link to who sold it. You can alternatively PM me the store link and I will get the make for you if possible and post that info here.

"As a courtesy to our advertisers, please do not post links when recommending products; just post the recommended products name/model number" viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3144
